Already known for future-oriented professional programs, we at NYIT will soon be equally distinguished for our general education. The new Core Curriculum is poised to transform the undergraduate experience at all NYIT campuses by cultivating broad academic abilities in thinking, research, analysis, writing, science, math, and more!
The new Theobald Science Center at NYIT-Old Westbury features modernized classrooms, state-of-the-art chemistry and biology labs, and new preparation rooms - all developed with NYIT's commitment to sustainable design and functionality. See how our newest facility enhances the NYIT student experience.
Robert Michael Smith, associate professor, fine arts, NYIT's College of Arts and Sciences, Old Westbury campus, has been selected by Digital Stone Project as a professor-in-residence at the month long Garfangnana Robotic Stone Carving Workshop from June 08 to July 07, 2013 at Garfagnana Innovazione Via Primo Tonini, Minucciano Lucca, Italy.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, a Gallery 61 exhibit may be worth an entire textbook. At the opening reception of the Fine Arts Faculty Exhibition on April 12 at NYIT-Manhattan, 17 faculty members from the Old Westbury and Manhattan campuses displayed their latest works of art, which included paintings, drawings, sculptures, photography, and installations. The annual event has served as a crucial learning experience for NYIT students for more than 30 years, bringing to life many concepts taught in the classroom.
