Applying for Graduation

All candidates for graduation must complete an online application with the Office of the Registrar via the "Application for Graduation" link on my.nyit.edu (NYIT Connect) at the beginning of their final semesters. The remaining deadline for 2013 is: 

• August 2013 Graduation:  June 28, 2013

After your graduation request is processed, you will receive an email from the Office of the Registrar sent to your NYIT email account detailing the status of your graduation application.  Your status may be as follows:

• Approved:  all requirements have been successfully completed
• Approved Pending: approved for your degree contingent upon successful completion of all work that may be in progress
• Denied: you have not successfully completed one of more of the requirements for graduation and you are not eligible to graduate at this time; contact your advisor or department office for more information.

Transcript Requests

Students who require transcripts for graduate school or employment can order them online at my.nyit.edu (NYIT Connect) and clicking on "Order Your Transcript."

Graduation Ceremony

Bahrain Graduation: The NYIT-Bahrain graduation ceremony for the Class of 2013 will take place on Wednesday, May 29, 10 a.m. to noon, at the Gulf Hotel Convention Center in Manama, Bahrain. Please periodically check this page for updates regarding further details.

Main NYIT Commencement Ceremony at NYIT-Old Westbury

All members of the Class of 2013 at all campuses are eligible to participate in NYIT's main commencement ceremony. Each graduate may receive up to four guest tickets. For information about NYIT's 52nd Commencement Ceremony on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the Old Westbury campus, please visit the NYIT commencement web page.

To All Members of the Class of 2013: 

• Please send us photos of your NYIT experiences to be used in a photo montage on commencement day. All images should be 1600x1200 pixels (2MP) or higher and have a file size of less than 10mb. To submit photos, please email them to: commencementphotos@nyit.edu

• We are looking for an outstanding Student Speaker who can best represent NYIT students’ experiences at the 2013 Commencement Ceremony at the Old Westbury campus. This is a great honor  to share your story and represent your class by reflecting on the educational experiences you’ve shared.
