City of Vancouver

Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.): Vancouver

The NYIT-Vancouver program is based on NYIT programs offered and approved in New York. The Vancouver program is offered under the consent of the Minister of Advanced Education of British Columbia. Courses are taught by professors from NYIT's New York campuses or by local faculty. In addition to standard New York content, Canadian content is added to ensure that students are fully competitive in the Canadian environment.

M.B.A. Concentrations

Students who choose to pursue the M.B.A. with a concentration must complete fifteen (15) credits of coursework in addition to the waiveable and non-waiveable core requirements.

  • M.B.A. with Concentration in Finance
    Finance concentration must complete both ACCT 721 Advanced Financial Accounting and FINC 765 Portfolio Management and three courses (9 credits) chosen from the following list. Each course is three (3) credits.
  • M.B.A. with Concentration in Tourism
    Tourism concentration must include the completion of five courses (15 credits) chosen from the following list. All courses are three (3) credits.

Master of Science in Information, Network, and Computer Security (M.S.-INCS)

M.S.-INCS is a cutting-edge program designed to prepare students for leadership positions in addressing one of the major ongoing issues faced by almost every modern organization. The M.S.-INCS will be ideally suited for graduates of baccalaureate programs in computer science, engineering, operations research, mathematics, and related areas. The program is a two-year program (although particularly strong, well-prepared and hard-working students could complete the requirements more quickly).

Program structure

The M.S.-INCS curriculum is comprised of 30 credits, including eight required courses (24 credits), one three-credit supervised project, and one three-credit elective.
