A number of scholarships are available from NYIT as well as from local, regional, and national sponsors.

NYIT Scholarships

Through the generosity of trustees, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends, NYIT provides academic scholarships and grants on the basis of academic achievement or high scholastic potential. Find out more about NYIT Scholarships.

Private Scholarships

Scholarship search engines are typically the best route to finding private scholarships or scholarships outside of NYIT. Other methods include reviewing our list of private scholarships or speaking with family/friends about scholarship opportunities. You can also review other sources, such as: employers and professional associations, high school guidance counselors, local foundations, churches/religious groups, civic groups, and by reviewing our list of privately funded scholarship opportunities.

Scholarship Search Engines

There are thousands of scholarships, grants, fellowships, and loans available through private sources. Listings of private scholarships and grants appear in books and via a number of online search engines, including:

State and Federal Government Programs

State and federal governments sponsor a large number of grant and loan programs, some without regard to financial status. Because these programs change from year to year, email finaid@nyit.edu for more information about programs and eligibility requirements.

Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of American (IAVA) has launched a Web site to promote the new GI Bill. It is a resource center for veterans to learn about their hard-earned education benefits. It includes an interactive benefits calculator based on zip code, answers to Frequently Asked Questions, and the latest news and information about the new GI Bill as it goes into effect .Visit: Post-9/11 GI Bill for more information.
