Provides students with supervised professional experience in a human resources management or labor relations function in an outside organization. Students are expected to meet the professional standards of the organization to which they are assigned. A minimum of 150 hours of field experience is required. Students must meet regularly with their faculty field placement advisor. This course may be counted toward the specialization requirement. Grade will be pass or fail. HRMC-881	Independent Study	1.0	Management
This course affords the student an opportunity to complete a project on a selected human resources management or labor relations subject, under the supervision of faculty. A written paper or report will be required. Approval of the director is required. May be repeated for credit. Chairperson permission required
HRMC-883	Comprehensive Examination I	0.0	Management
The comprehensive examination is required for all students, except for those electing to do a thesis or practicum. This examination tests knowledge of concepts, theories, laws and policies of human resources management and labor relations at the level covered in the core courses. Pass/fail grade.
HRMC-884	Comprehensive Examination II	0.0	Management
This examination tests knowledge of concepts, theories, laws and policies of human resources management and labor relations specific to the student's specialization. Pass/fail grade. Prerequisite Course(s): HRMC-883 with a minimum grade of P, IP
HRMC-885	Comprehensive Examination III	0.0	Management
This examination tests knowledge of concepts, theories, laws and policies of human resources management and labor relations at the level covered in the core courses, and those specific to the student's specialization. Pass/fail grade.
HRMC-897	Maintain Matriculation	0.0	Management
Matriculated students who do not register for coursework in a regular semester (excluding summer) are required to maintain matriculation by registering for this course.
