With campuses in New York as well as Canada, China, and the Middle East, NYIT is a global institution with more than 13,000 students. New York Institute of Technology is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education in the United States. The School of Engineering and Computing Science is accredited in the United States by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. (ABET). In British Columbia, Canada, all of our programs are authorized by the Ministry of Advanced Education, Innovation, and Technology. NYIT-Vancouver is also among British Columbia’s EQA-designated Post-Secondary Schools.
The programs are also listed on the website of Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) as participants in the off-campus work permit program and on the website of the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials.
The M.B.A. program consists of 48 credits but may be completed in as few as thirty (30) credits. The program consists of the waiveable program core, the non-waiveable program core, and elective or concentration courses. Once NYIT evaluates the student’s undergraduate coursework, the total credits required will be determined.

NYIT’s M.B.A. is a two-year program. Students can generally complete the M.B.A. program in about 12-15 months, excluding the completion of waiveable courses.

NYIT-Vancouver offers M.B.A. with concentrations in finance or tourism. Each concentration is achieved by replacing the three elective courses (9 credits) with five courses (15 credits) specified for the concentration, extending the program by two courses (6 credits).
The Master of Science in Information, Network, and Computer Security (M.S.-INCS) is a cutting-edge program designed to prepare students for leadership positions in addressing one of the major ongoing issues faced by almost every modern organization. The M.S.-INCS is suited for graduates of baccalaureate programs in computer science, engineering, operations research, mathematics, and related areas. The program is a two-year program (although particularly strong, well-prepared, and hard-working students could complete the requirements more quickly).

Up to six transfer credits may be granted for appropriate courses with a grade of B or equivalent from an accredited graduate program.
Please note that just like any other North American post-secondary institution, we do not guarantee jobs for students after graduation since employability depends on many factors, including their abilities, skills, and language proficiency, as well as your efforts and attendance at career workshops. At NYIT, you will receive career development education (workshops) and one-to-one meetings with our career services coordinators to help you develop your career plans and search. The more you participate in these free offerings, the greater your chances of receiving great opportunities upon graduation.
* NYIT-Vancouver offers a limited number of on-campus, paid student assistant positions.
The great majority of NYIT M.B.A. students have job offers or are enrolled in further study soon after they graduate. Many NYIT-Vancouver graduates (international students) return to their home countries to seek employment, while others have secured jobs with companies such as TD Canada Bank, Fido, President's Choice MasterCard, Sunlife Financial, Walmart Canada, Poscan Canada, Strong International, Zara, Cision, World Financial, Manulife, and Zee Power Group.
Average pay will differ by experience, position, industry, and company.
Students have the option to set up their accommodation through ‘I Love HomeStay,’ which assists students in finding accommodations in Vancouver. Students will be placed with a local family and have opportunities to interact with Canadians, experience the Canadian way of life, learn about Vancouver, and improve their English skills. NYIT-Vancouver does not provide airport pickups for students. Students who have arranged homestay through “I Love Homestay” have the option to arrange their own airport pickup. Please also see “HomeStay” above for airport pickup option.
There are three terms/semesters in every academic year: January (Spring), May (Summer), and September (Fall); new students can be admitted six times a year. Each term consists of two 8-week cycles. New M.B.A. students can start in each cycle. Please note that international students are strongly encouraged to apply at least two months prior to their intended start date to accommodate the processing of their study permit application with Canadian immigration office.
M.S.-INCS students can start the program at the beginning of any term/semester. There are three intakes per year for prospective students of this program.
Before the issuance of the letter of acceptance, international students must pay a tuition deposit of $2,610 (U.S.), representing tuition for the first three credits of the program.
