The Division of Advanced Professional Programs offers graduate certificate and degree programs to develop additional or specialized knowledge and skills in instructional technology for teachers, to develop knowledge and skills for individuals who work as professional trainers in corporate, industry or government settings, to prepare persons for leadership roles in various school settings, and to prepare persons for careers as school counselors. Some programs lead to endorsement for certification in New York State. See individual program descriptions for specific information about certification eligibility.
In addition to providing strong, research-based and field-relevant professional content, the programs integrate technology in the teaching/learning process and build technical competence in meaningful encounters with research, data collection and analysis, collaborative work, telecommunications, and media.
The New York Institute of Technology's School of Education (SOE) offer a number of programs to prepare pre-k-12 teachers, school building administrators, educational technology specialists, school counselors and corporate-industrial-governmental professional trainers.
Online study for the master's in instructional technology is available. Check out the video introduction below.
