This year’s raffle winner for the Civility Bear-Pass initiative at the Old Westbury campus is Marwan Araim, a first-year pre-med major from Wantagh, N.Y. To be entered into the raffle, students needed to be observed by a civility advocate engaging in an act of civility and given a Bear Pass Card. At the end of the academic year, one of the passes was selected via a raffle as a winner.

For the first time this year, NYIT is asking students to nominate faculty and staff members who have made major contributions to increasing their engagement in academics and campus life at the university. The deadline to submit nominations for NYIT's Presidential Engagement Awards is Friday, May 17. The awards will be presented by President Guiliano at NYIT Convocation.
