Why did you decide to join NYIT?
I have worked as a librarian for 10 years, specializing in working with serials and journals in print and electronic format. NYIT gave me the opportunity I was looking for.
What do you do at NYIT?
I manage the periodicals department, including interlibrary loans, and provide access to electronic resources-gathering statistics and information about databases, activating electronic journals and making them accessible through the NYIT Journal Locator.
Why do you like working here?
I enjoy my job. I like what I do and the opportunities the job provides. I smile on a daily basis, and I like being able to smile every day.
What has been your favorite experience at NYIT so far?
I started on Jan. 14, 2008 so I will say my favorite experience so far is walking from the N20 bus stop to the library. It is a nice to have a daily brisk walk in the morning and evening.
What is your favorite perk/benefit about working at NYIT?
My favorite perk is working in an atmosphere that inspires people to question, challenge themselves, and reach for attainable goals.
