Why did you decide to join NYIT?
The possibilities were endless. I saw a place where I could stay and grow.

What do you do at NYIT?
I solve student problems. They come to me with all their issues—whether it is with registering, obtaining financial aid, or figuring out their next steps.

What has been your favorite experience at NYIT so far?
Seeing the new Enrollment Services Centers develop—everything from the training to the actual physical structures being built. Now that we’re putting everything we’ve learned into action, the day goes by so quickly. And it’s great to know that we are making a difference.

What is your favorite perk/benefit about working at NYIT?
The vacation time. I don’t know what to do with myself with all that time. Where do I go? What do I do?

What do you hope to achieve during your tenure at NYIT?
I want to get a doctorate, and I know that I can do it. I’ve watched Jackie Nealon, vice president of enrollment services, become a woman of power at NYIT. She has children just like me. But she worked full time, went to school and is now the head of the department.
