This class will survey the tools and techniques used by high-end animation houses to create special effects for broadcast, animation and films. The abstract concepts of digital FX production will be clarified with step-by-step tutorials covering the processes of advanced animation. Kinetic motion, dynamic particle effects, rotoscoping and motion matching are taught to enable students to apply these effects to their work. Prerequisite Course(s): ARTA-701
