This class will survey the tools and techniques used by high-end animation houses to create special effects for broadcast, animation and films. The abstract concepts of digital FX production will be clarified with step-by-step tutorials covering the processes of advanced animation. Kinetic motion, dynamic particle effects, rotoscoping and motion matching are taught to enable students to apply these effects to their work.
