Academic Medicine Scholars serve as table trainers for 1st and 2nd year students. They set up labs, run cameras, facilitate a workshop pod of students, attend lectures and planning meetings, and are involved in student assessment and the faculty evaluation process. Individual scholars participate in scheduled OMM clinic sessions with OMM faculty members. Prerequisite Course(s): Course is limited to Neuromusculoskeletal Sciences students

MMOM 830	Immersive Teaching in Osteopathic Principles and Practice I	4	College of Osteopathic Med
This course aims to immerse Osteopathic Medical students in the methods and practice of teaching Osteopathic Manual Medicine. Through intensive study of the materials, clinical exposure, lab preparatory sessions and practice assessment item writing, students will develop their ability to teach in large and small group settings in which they will become more adept in conveying osteopathic philosophy, principles of diagnosis and treatment methods. Students will also prepare scholarly work in the form of an osteopathic case write up for presentation as well as have other opportunities for academic enrichment in osteopathy.
