Disability and Special Assistance
Commencement staff is available to direct and assist people with disabilities. Restroom facilities are located near the main and school tents. A seating area for persons with hearing impairments has been identified and is staffed by sign language interpreters.
Handicapped parking is available. Vehicles without a valid handicap parking permit may drop off guests with disabilities. In addition, shuttle service with wheelchair access is available throughout all lots on campus. NYIT does not provide wheelchairs.
Guests who arrive after the campus parking lots are filled will be redirected to the C.W. Post campus on Northern Boulevard and will be transported via shuttle bus to the main tent. These shuttles have handicap access.
