Congratulations on your acceptance. We look forward to seeing you on campus. Before you begin your studies here, here is a quick to-do list:
Please set up your MyNYIT Portal to access NYITConnect to confirm your enrollment, pay your tuition deposit, and view, accept, or decline your NYIT scholarship and/or financial aid, if applicable. View a tutorial to set up your account.
NYIT offers more than $36 million in scholarships and institutional aid each year. To be eligible for merit-based, state, or federal assistance, you must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Complete it online at fafsa.gov. NYIT's FAFSA school code is 002782. NYIT's state TAP code is 2120.
All new first-year students are required to attend orientation. You will learn about campus life at our new student orientation sessions. View dates and information.

Placement exams are required for all first-year students. Placement exams for Fall 2015 students will be available from June to September 2015. Registration is now open. View dates and placement exam information. We encourage you to sign up early for placement exams. This will give you the opportunity to create your ideal class schedule and sit for the exams while your knowledge of the subject material is still fresh.
If you are admitted to the Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP), then you have already satisfied this requirement and do not need to register for a placement exam.
B.S./D.O. Students Only:
Students admitted to the B.S. in Life Sciences/Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (B.S./D.O.) program are not required to take placement exams. You are required to attend a B.S./D.O. Enrollment Day to meet with faculty members and new students to register for your fall semester courses.
After completing your placement exams, you will meet with an advisor to register for classes and make plans for the upcoming semester.
Since your admission to NYIT is contingent upon successful completion of course work in progress, you must ensure final official transcripts are filed with the Office of Admissions prior to the start of your first semester. Evidence of a high school diploma and graduation date is required. Please complete the High School Transcript Request Form and give it to your guidance counselor to send the necessary documents.
New York State requires all students to show proof of immunizations before attending classes. Please complete the Student Immunization Form (PDF) prior to registering for classes and fax or mail it to NYIT's Office of Wellness Services. For more information, please call 516.686.3705 or email email@example.com.
