Our halls are staffed with professional and student staff members for students create an environment that engages student learning and development, complementing and enhancing the NYIT experience. NYIT also offers a meal plan to meet the needs of residential and commuter students.

Fall 2013 Residence Life Move-In Information

  • New International Students Move-In Only:
    Monday, Aug. 26. International students must be registered and must contact the Office of International Education.
  • Old Westbury New Student Residential Student Orientation - Friday, Aug. 30. Sign Up Today!
  • All New Students Move-In - Saturday, Aug. 31.
  • All Returning Students - Sunday, Sept. 1.
  • Labor Day- Monday, Sept. 2-  Offices Closed.

The Manhattan campus gives entering first-year students the option of being a part of a Learning Community. Students residing at the Manhattan School of Music and Loeb Residence Halls can participate in a Living Learning Community, which groups students according to their academic programs and provides opportunities for co-curricular activities. Commuter students are also able to participate in a Commuter Learning Community option.
