Occupational Therapy Requirements
To be accepted into the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy program, you must:
- Have completed or be in the process of completing a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Have a composite GPA of at least 2.5
- Submit proof of at least 100 hours of volunteer work under the direction of a licensed occupational therapist
- Submit an essay detailing your desire to pursue occupational therapy as a career
- Provide two letters of recommendation on letterhead, one of which must be from a licensed occupational therapist; these letters should be dated within six months of your application and be sealed with the author's signature over the seal.
If you meet the initial criteria for admission, you will be asked to interview with the Occupational Therapy Admissions Committee, which will then render a decision.
