Please set up your MyNYIT Portal to create your NYIT email account and access NYITConnect to complete your next steps: confirm your enrollment, view, accept, or decline your NYIT scholarship and/or financial aid, if applicable, pay your tuition deposit, and more.
In NYITConnect, submit your $400 nonrefundable tuition deposit by the deposit deadline, or within two weeks of your acceptance if after the deposit deadline.

NYIT offers more than $40 million in scholarships and institutional aid each year. To be eligible for merit-based, state, or federal assistance, you must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). NYIT's FAFSA school code is 002782. NYIT's state TAP code is 2120. NYIT's priority deadline in March 1. Complete your FAFSA online.
If you do not have transfer credits for English and/or math, then you are required to take placement exams. You are exempt from the English placement exam if you received transfer credit for FCWR 101, College Composition I. You are exempt from the math placement exam if you have credit for the first math course in your sequence or if your major requires only one three-credit math choice. Placement exams are held from the end of November through January for students enrolling for spring 2016. They are held from April though September for students enrolling for fall 2016. We will notify you when it's time to register for placement exams. Check back once registration opens for your start term to sign up for placement exams. Learn more and view practice questions.
If you are exempt from English and math placement exams, you will need to request an advising and registration appointment with an academic advisor. We'll provide you with more information before registration opens. For spring 2016, Registration will open at the end of November. For fall 2016, registration will open in April.
You are required to attend orientation as a new transfer student. This will be your opportunity to learn about student services and campus life, get to know your future classmates, and get ready for college life.
For the spring 2016 semester, orientation will be held in December and January.
For the fall 2016 semester, orientation will be held in June through August.

Decide if you would like to live in one of NYIT's full-service residence halls, located a short bus or subway ride away from campus. To live in an NYIT residence hall, please complete a Residential Hall Application, submit a nonrefundable $315 housing deposit, and select your meal plan.
You must ensure that final, official college transcripts and AP scores are submitted to the Office of Admissions prior to the start of your first semester. NYIT's College Board code is 2652.
