What is the deadline for international applications?

The deadline for international applications is July 1 for the fall semester and  December 1 for the spring semester.

Learn more about the admissions requirements for International students on our website.

Click here for information on how to apply. NYIT accepts the College Board and NACAC fee waivers. If you need more information about fee waivers please call the Office of Admissions at 800.345.NYIT(6948) or 516.686.2870 or by email at

The review process of your application will begin when NYIT has received all application materials such as: a completed application, academic transcripts, scores from your TOEFL or IELTS, and entrance exam (i.e. SAT, GRE, or GMAT, if applicable), and affidavits of support, and bank statement. Your file will then be sent to the academic department to which you applied for review, and it will take approximately 4-6 weeks before a decision is made.

An I-20 will only be issued if you are admitted. We begin issuing I-20s in early March for the fall semester, and in late September for the spring semester.

In order to check the status of your application, please email the Office of Admissions and include your full name, date of birth, Student ID number (if one has been assigned), your mailing address, and the program of study to which you applied.

For immediate assistance, please contact the Office of Admissions at 800.345.NYIT(6948) or 516.686.2870.
