The department of clinical nutrition offers a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition completely online. The program has been in existence for more than 20 years, but has now been transitioned to an all-online format which can now bring this program to qualified students around the globe.
The M.S. in Clinical Nutrition is a clinically focused program that integrates biomedical and nutrition sciences to develop an understanding of medical nutrition therapy. Students with a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and students at all levels of allied health and medical education can use this program to integrate nutrition into professional study. Students with a bachelor’s degree in non-nutrition fields can take a combination of didactic graduate and undergraduate nutrition courses required for dietetic credentialing. The M.S. in clinical nutrition qualifies students for active membership in the American Dietetic Association (ADA). Individualized clinical training is available for M.S. graduates to meet requirements of the American College of Nutrition for certification as a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS).
