Sullivan earns ECC men's lacrosse Player of the Week honors
Central Islip, N.Y. (April 19, 2009) - 
Junior Matt Sullivan (West Islip, N.Y.) has been named the East Coast Conference Player of the Week as announced by the conference office today. Sullivan recorded a game high eight points, that included three goals and five assists in a 17-11 victory over Adelphi on Saturday.  Sullivan helped his team to a commanding 8-1 start dishing off his first three assists in the first quarter.  He connected on back-to-back tallies in a thirty second span in the second quarter to give the Bears a 12-5 edge and closed out the Bears scoring efforts, finding the back of the net with 2:49 left to play in the game.
