Waterbury, Conn (Oct. 27, 2009) - Junior Taylor Jensen (East Meadow, N.Y.) scored twice to lead the NYIT women's soccer team to a 3-0 shutout over the Post University Eagles 3-0 this afternoon in non-conference action. The win improves the Bears to 5-10 over all while Post falls to 5-12.

The conditions were difficult for both teams with consistent rain coming down throughout the game. NYIT scored first when freshman Kelly Kuplicki (Oceanside, N.Y.) headed a pass from sophomore Ally Halbig (Babylon, N.Y.)  past keeper Cassie Michel. The goal would be the eventual game winner. 

In the second half, Jenson netted two goals to make the final score 3-0.

The Bears return to action at home on Thursday, Oct. 29 hosting Nyack at 3 p.m.
