Amir (Seyed Amirmostafa Jourabchi), received his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2009 from the University of Nottingham. During his undergraduate study, he tested different types of biodiesel on diesel engine test rigs, resulting in his first publication. He received a full scholarship for his Ph.D. to produce bio-oil from waste biomass by designing and developing two pyrolysis rigs. He received his Ph.D. in 2015 from the University of Nottingham but in 2013, he joined INTI International University as a lecturer in the Mechanical Engineering department. He was promoted to associate professor in 2017 and continued his collaboration with the University of Nottingham in the research and supervision of a variety of renewable energy projects. In 2021, he moved to Canada after finalizing his contract with INTI International University and joined New York Institute of Technology as an adjunct professor in January 2022.
