Based on relevant adult learning principles and theories, this hands-on program is directed toward participants with at least 3 years experience advising to the SME market. Nearly two dozen students joining NYIT-Vancouver for Spring semester participated in orientation activities this week, with an emphasis on getting to know NYIT and downtown Vancouver, where NYIT is located. New student Yihan Yang said after the events, "Vancouver is a beautiful city, with all these mountains and lakes, even the rainy days. Starting in Summer 2016, NYIT-Vancouver will offer two new courses in the field of environmental management: “Introduction to Environmental Technology” (ENVT 601) and "Seminar in New Products and Technology: An Introduction to Intelligent Energy Efficiency for Facilities" (ENGY 725). In the Introduction to Environmental Technology, students will learn fundamentals of environmental technology and energy management. Students of the Seminar in New Products and Technology will learn about the emerging field of Intelligent Energy Efficiency (IEE), which uses sensor, control, and communication technologies to increase energy efficiency.
