Four exceptional School of Management students within the living and learning community “MALLCOM,” organized the Green City Challenge on the Manhattan Campus on May 1, 2014. In cooperation with the Community Service Center, they created five different challenges on how to live, work, and eat green in New York City. Some of the challenges consisted of recognizing sustainable building materials, educating students on how to do proper recycling, and being able to tell the difference between bottled and tap water. At each challenge, NYIT students could earn raffle tickets to increase their chances of winning memberships to Clearwater, Transportation Alternatives, and Urban Green Council.
