Amy Bravo Amy Bravo
Assistant Dean of Career Services

Amy Bravo serves as the Assistant Dean of Career Services where she develops local and global strategies for Career Services including career management, experiential education programs, employer outreach, and student employment. At NYIT, Amy co-developed a centralized internship program, initiated service-learning and alternative spring break programs, and established two student run community service centers. Prior to joining NYIT in 2008, Amy worked at Ramapo College of New Jersey for 10 years in the center for experiential learning and career services. She has a special interest in civic engagement initiatives that promote global, employee, and student citizenship. Amy has a Bachelor’s degree in History and a Master of Arts degree in Liberal Studies.


Rosalia Davi Rosalia Davi
Assistant Director, Experiential Education 

Rosalia supports students and alumni in achieving their professional and personal goals by counseling them one-on-one, managing NYIT's Internship Certificate Program in Manhattan, building relationships with employers and community partners creating off-campus opportunities, and overseeing the Alternative Break Program. Rosalia enjoys helping students realize their potential in shaping their futures and their communities, as well as connecting employers, faculty and staff with students who are eager to gain experience. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Sociology from SUNY Stony Brook, and a dual Masters in Gender and Cultural Studies and Communications Management from Simmons College in Boston. She lives with her husband, Rosario Davi, in Astoria and enjoys cooking (but preferably eating), reading, and karaoke – if she can get anyone to ever go with her.


Abigail Godfrey Jeremy Ducos
Assistant Director

In 2010, Jeremy joined NYIT as the Assistant Director of Student Activities and Leadership Development, where he worked diligently with students to develop their leadership skills through workshops, thought provoking programs, and through his advisement of student clubs and organizations. In the summer of 2014, Jeremy joined Career Services. In this new role, he coaches, counsels, and prepares students for their future careers and life after NYIT. After receiving a scholarship to play football at Pace University, Jeremy graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media and Communication Arts. He earned his Master of Science degree in School Counseling from NYIT. When not working, he spends time with family, plays and watches sports, and he loves to read. Passionate about serving the community, Jeremy mentors and serves as a volunteer coach for the John Adams High School football team. Jeremy is the youngest of seven children and was born and raised in Queens, New York.

Upon entering Career Services in Old Westbury, Abigail is one of the first people to welcome you to the office. She communicates daily with students, alumni, and employers creating an awareness of the services, events, and workshops that Career Services offers. Her primary role is to match you with the career advisor and resources that best suit your needs. Abigail also provides the team with excellent support through her advanced software and computer skills. Abigail has a Bachelor's degree from SUNY Old Westbury and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management at NYIT.



Laurie Hollister

Associate Director

Laurie is a long time member of the NYIT community with experience in academic and student affairs. At Career Services she combines skills gained from her Master’s in Instructional Technology degree with career counseling. She maintains Career Net, the online tool which houses all student and employer data, including resumes, jobs, internships, career events for campuses in New York and globally. She also manages our large recruitment events, serves as our web site editor, and works with faculty to deliver professional career development sessions to students. You will also find her coaching and counseling students and alumni through all phases of career development from major choice to their first "real world" opportunity. Laurie will tell you that having a positive impact on the growth and development of our students makes coming to work a pleasure! Working with students is her passion.

John Hyde John Hyde
Dean of Career Services

John Hyde leads the comprehensive career services program serving undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni on all campuses in the New York region and throughout the world. He has developed new strategies and partnerships that serve both internal and external constituencies including cultivating and expanding multi-sector corporate, government, not-for profit, and alumni contacts to increase experiential learning and employment opportunities for students both nationally and internationally. He administers program operations including budgeting, on-campus recruitment, career fairs, speaker series and forums, experiential education program, alumni mentor program, technology based services, and counseling and career development activities. For 15 years, John worked in student affairs roles and directed career services and alumni relations at Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia. John holds a Master's degree in Education from Alfred University.


Debbie Leung Debbie Leung
Administrative Assistant

As the administrative assistant for Career Services in Manhattan, Debbie schedules student appointments for staff and answers student and employer inquiries. Debbie is excited to help maximize students’ experiences in our office. Before coming to NYIT, she worked for an educational non-profit and taught 5th grade special education. As a history buff, she has an undergraduate and graduate degree in history and is currently working to gain credentials in career counseloring in higher education. A former New Jerseyan, Debbie now lives in the Bronx with her husband who is studying medicine.


Adrienne McNally Adrienne McNally
Associate Director, Experiential Education

Adrienne manages the Internship Certificate Program and Old Westbury Community Service Center. She assists students in learning more about their majors, assessing their skills and personalities, and finding internships, jobs or volunteer opportunities that meet their interests and needs. As an undergradate at Northeastern University studying Industrial Engineering and Mathematics Adrienne completed six internships. She has her Master's degree from Lehigh University in Operations Research. Adrienne enjoys reading, learning, and working with others to make change.


Patricia Pasquariello Patricia Pasquariello
Office Assistant

As you enter Career Services in Old Westbury, Patricia welcomes you to the office. Her primary role is to inquire how she can help you, and then guide you to the appropriate services and resources we have to offer. She assists Student Employment by helping students process their contracts and timesheets in a timely manner. She also provides the team with clerical support, reports, and management of all financial data. Providing customer service to students for over 13 years, she is always ready to assist you with all things related to NYIT.


Caren Sobier

Caren Sobier
Assistant Director, Student Employment

Caren is the go-to person for student employment, training, and professional development. Caren developed and runs “Job Fair Boot Camp,” which is a series of workshops designed to ensure your successful preparation and navigation of the annual All Majors Job and Internship Fair. She has won numerous awards for presentations on professionalism and career development. Caren has been nationally recognized as a Student Employment Essentials Trainer and was the District Representative for the Northeast Student Employment Association (NEASEA) from 2011-2013. She is also a published author for NEASEA, writing an article on “Best Practices for a Successful Supervisor Training” as well as writing the Student Employee Handbook for NYIT. Caren holds a Master's degree from NYIT in Human Resources & Labor Relations. In addition to her role in student employment, she is a Professional Development Consultant for the Dispute Resolution Institute of New York since November 2012.

Assistant Director 

Liz joins the Career Services office in Old Westbury with a focus on helping NYIT students explore their passions and discover opportunities to solidify their career and professional goals.  She has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Boston University and a Master’s degree in Counseling from Hofstra University.  Before coming to NYIT, Liz spent several years in the technology field before working at numerous higher education institutions, holding both internship and volunteer positions in Career Services.  Originally from upstate NY, Liz now lives on Long Island with her fiance, a golf professional.  Outside of the Career Services office Liz enjoys having new experiences, especially ones related to food, sports, music and travel.
