Overview and Schedule for Day


Commencement begins at 9:30 a.m. with the college-wide Main Commencement Ceremony (approximately two hours), which takes place in the Main Tent (parking lot in front of tennis courts). This ceremony is followed by School Commencements (except NYCOM Hooding which is held on Monday) where graduates are individually recognized.


Schedule

8 a.m.Parking lots open and shuttle service begins
8:15 - 8:45 a.m.Graduates line-up at Presidents Field (track)
8:30 a.m.Main tent opens for seating
9 a.m.Web cast link activated
9:15 a.m.All guests should be seated
9:30 a.m.Main commencement ceremony begins
11:15 a.m.Main commencement ceremony ends
11:30 a.m.School commencements ceremonies begin

School commencements take place in separate tents in close proximity to the main tent. Please look for the large color banners on each tent for your specific school.

  • School of Architecture and Design (Purple banner on tent)
  • School of Education (Blue banner on tent)
  • School of Engineering (Orange banner on tent)
  • School of Health Professions (Green banner on tent)
