As consumers are bombarded with multiple messages and high-tech marketing, it is becoming increasingly more difficult to penetrate the consumer market. The marketing industry of the 21st century demands professionals who can rise above the clutter and deliver the product to more customers, often with limited resources of funds, personnel and time.
NYIT’s Bachelor of Science in Advertising is an intensive four-year degree program designed to meet the needs of the demanding contemporary environment for professional practitioners. Students will gain invaluable knowledge and experience in advertising, public relations, direct marketing, and sales promotion.
One of the first such academic majors established in the Northeast, NYIT’s program emphasizes professional specialization areas in account management, advertising research, media planning, creative and art direction, and copywriting for print and various multimedia technologies. Advertising majors receive a solid conceptual grounding combined with hands-on instruction in the practical aspects of the discipline. Our internships and professional in-house agencies guarantee that graduates come away with crucial experience and the portfolio needed to land that first big job.
