Responsibilities: New York Institute of Technology (NYIT-Nanjing) School of Engineering and Computing Sciences is seeking a full time Assistant Professor of Computer Science (one position). Coordinator - RA #1662

Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Dean of the School of Engineering and Computing Sciences, the Coordinator will split his/her time between the Old Westbury and Manhattan campuses. The coordinator will handle a large volume of student applications and queries, and assist with the evaluation of graduate applications in NY and globally. Additional duties include coordinating current undergraduate and graduate student recruitment and retention efforts via targeted activities, special gatherings and competitions, mentoring of engineering clubs and leaders, compiling student scholarship, fellowship and graduate school information. The Coordinator will support the Dean’s Honors program and other scholarship programs, act as liaison with both Career Services and Admissions for outreach to high schools, employers and the wider community, as well as assist with engineering speakers’ lecture series and employer information sessions and panels. He/she will assist with the organization of conferences, showcase events, open house and engineering days, assist with faculty recruiting ads and posting, and filing of faculty candidates’ materials and applications. The coordinator will be responsible for the School’s website, development of promotional materials and NYIT catalog updates. He/she will perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in engineering and /or computer science is required. Excellent verbal , organizational and computer (MS Office Suite) skills are also required.
