Biography
Elaine Dellavecchia, Ph.D., RN, CCRN, has more than 25 years of experience in nursing and health care, and is interested in furthering nursing education. Her current research explores students’ experience with distance learning and health information technology.
Dr. Dellaveccha joined NYIT full-time in 2008, after she taught for two years as a part-time instructor. She taught previously at Queensborough Community College, University of Phoenix, Grand Canyon University, and Molloy College. She also worked at many hospitals and health care centers including St. Francis Hospital, New York Presbyterian, and Mercy Medical Center, among others.
Dr. Dellavecchia has a doctorate degree of philosophy in education from Capella University, a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from C.W. Post campus of Long Island University, and associate’s degree in applied science from Queensborough Community College.
