Biography

Dr. Jacquelyn Nealon oversees NYIT’s admissions, recruitment, financial aid, academic advisement, learning centers, honors programs, advertising, public relations, marketing, and an enhanced array of integrated, customer-focused student and campus services.

During her more than ten years at NYIT, Nealon has been instrumental in increasing the size and quality of the incoming classes at the college’s two New York-based and six global campuses; implementing a strategic scholarship leveraging program; serving as the founding chairperson of the Enrollment Management Committee; and creating the Student Solutions Center unit, which wraps services around students from admission through graduation, streamlining processes, improving efficiencies, and increasing retention.

She has also spearheaded the production of award-winning print and digital marketing materials, and led the creation of a 21st-century website that embraces NYIT’s student-centered mission through the engagement of social media. In addition, she teaches college composition and public speaking courses.

Nealon earned her Doctorate of Education in higher education management from the University of Pennsylvania; her master’s degree in strategic leadership and communication from Seton Hall University; and her bachelor’s degree in English from Adelphi University. She is a sought-after speaker at conferences and workshops nationwide.
