Contributing to a safer and healthier world
On behalf of the faculty, staff and students, I am greatly honored, as dean, to welcome you to the School of Health Professions. Our school offers an exceptional blend of programs leading to baccalaureate degrees in nursing and health sciences, as well as master's degrees in nutrition science, occupational therapy, physician assistant studies, and mental health counseling, and entry-level and post-graduate professional doctoral degrees in physical therapy.
In addition, the school offers combined B.S.-M.S. degrees leading to careers in occupational therapy and physician assistant practice, combined B.S.-DPT degree for persons wishing to become physical therapists, and combined B.S.-D.O. and M.S.-D.O. programs leading to the practice of osteopathic medicine. The latter two degree programs are offered jointly with NYIT's College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Collectively, our programs focus on life, behavior, and health, and are unique, being representative of the spectrum of knowledge needed to support optimal health and function. With this array of programs, the school provides direct access to a seamless variety of personally rewarding and exciting professions for high school graduates, transfer students, and university graduates from all over the globe.
