Strategic Planning

The School's strategic planning process supports the continued advancement of the New York Institute of Technology and School of Management missions, and is designed to result in a pathway through which mission attainment is achieved over a six to eight year planning horizon. Incorporating all Stakeholder groups, including New York Tech faculty and staff, students, and administration, as well as accreditors, alumni, business leaders and community, and utilizing benchmarks from peer and aspirant groups, the school surveys the educational marketplace, leverages its core strengths in the context of market opportunities, and ascertains distinctive competencies that drive the elements of its action timetable.

A number of strategic planning goals and objectives further articulate the mission, and specific program outcomes and targets are defined to help ascertain the degree to which the mission has been advanced/attained. One of the more salient program outcomes for the School of Management, as a contributor to the New York Tech as a global university, involves the attainment of multiple accreditations from ministerial agencies and regulatory bodies across the globe, including AACSB accreditation.
