Bloomberg Essentials is a certification program that allows students to deminstrate thay they have the ability to use Bloomberg terminals to download financial information and analyze companies. Students who can demonstrate that they have completed the Bloomberg Essentials program are ahead of the game when applying for entry level financial services financial services positions. The Bloomberg Essentials program can be completed through online training on the Bloomberg terminals located in Wisser Library in Old Westbury and at 26 West 61st Street, Room 503 in Manhattan. To assist students in getting started with the use of Bloomberg as an analytic tool and be familiar with the Bloomberg Essentials program, Dr. Steven Shapiro, Professor of Finance and Director of the Risk Management Center, will offering an introductory training session on accessing the Bloomberg terminal.
