The Dean’s Teach with Today’s Technology Challenge is a challenge to School of Management (SOM) students, run annually, to help incorporate the newest and greatest Web 2.0 technologies into the curriculum.
In this challenge, students are the faculty and faculty are the students. Students are invited to submit project proposals that include information on how they would incorporate new technology into an existing SOM course. The topic for the lecture will be decided by the student, but it must be in a business administration content area. The challenge is open to all students, and each student can enter a maximum of two proposals.
Students present their short lectures, using their ideas, to the faculty of the school. Faculty of the school consider how they might adopt some of the technologies into the delivery of their classroom! In this way we continue to evolve our methods of teaching to embrace and take advantage of those technologies that are students are comfortable with and use regularly!
Students can enter as individuals (business majors only) or as a team of two (at least one student must be a business major), and winners receive certificates and also cash prizes!
Show us what you would do if you were the teacher. Sign up for the Dean's Teach with Today's Technology Challenge!
