Hospitality Studies Brings Sustainable Education to Hotels
In fall 2015, NYIT students partnered with The Benjamin, one of New York City’s first environmentally friendly hotels, as well as Green Key Global,and the Hotel Association of NYC Sustainable Hospitality Committee to launch the first experiential sustainable hospitality program in which hotels can earn a Green Key Eco-Rating. This certification recognizes hotels, motels, and resorts committed to improving their environmental and fiscal performance.
NYIT Students Are Global Business Champions
Stealthy teamwork, strong communication skills, and a sharp strategy to develop a $700 million simulated business enterprise propelled three School of Management students to excel at GLO-BUS, an online global business competition integrated into their NYIT coursework. Seniors Nicolas Jubera, Julio Pulido, and Jaime Gomez Bardon finished their final semester at NYIT on a high note when their team tied for first place five times during the seven-week competition this past spring.
