NYIT’s School of Management partners with several national associations to offer professional development courses that enhance competence within particular disciplines and that help participants earn nationally recognized certification and credentials. These courses are offered regularly at NYIT campuses in Manhattan, Old Westbury, and also may be conducted at your site.
Management accounting and financial professionals can strengthen their skills and prepare for advancement by completing the Certified Management Accountant Learning System, which is offered in partnership with the Institute of Management Accountants. This program prepares participants to take the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) exams. The CMA credential is highly recommended for management accounting and finance professionals who work inside organizations where expertise in decision support, planning, and control over value-creating operations is a crucial element of operational success. By earning the CMA credential, you will demonstrate technical competencies and an understanding of the linkage between strategy and financial performance, grounded in a firm commitment to upholding strict professional ethical standards.
Human Resource ManagementEmployees are the critical factor in the success of any business. Businesses depend upon the expertise and leadership of their human resource management professionals to ensure they have the workforce needed to compete effectively in the global marketplace. NYIT partners with the Society for Human Resource Management to offer three certificate courses in this dynamic field:
PayrollPayroll professionals will find that certification in the payroll field will build critical skills and advance their careers. NYIT has partnered with the American Payroll Association (APA) to offer PayTrain Fundamentals and Mastery courses. These courses provide the knowledge and skills needed for starting or advancing a payroll career and also help individuals prepare for the Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) and Certified Payroll Professional Certification (CPP) exams.
Treasury and cash management professionals from both the corporate and banking worlds will find that certification as a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) will enhance their career. NYIT offers the Association of Financial Professional’s Treasury Learning System classes as preparation for the CTP exam. The CTP sets the standard in the financial profession and is a symbol of excellence in corporate treasury. Earning the CTP certification communicates definitively that an individual has demonstrated the knowledge and application skills required to perform in today’s complex corporate environment.
