The mission of Mu Kappa Tau (International Marketing Honor Society) is to recognize the scholarship, achievement, and professional development of marketing students committed to the advancement of marketing education and the integrity of careers in marketing. Founded in 1966 by members of Pi Sigma Epsilon, the National Sales and Marketing Fraternity, Mu Kappa Tau membership is extended to marketing juniors, seniors, and graduate students, as well as educators and professionals who have shown dedication and contribution to the marketing profession. Mu Kappa Tau exists to recognize academic excellence and to encourage individuals seeking a life-long commitment to an exceptional standard of ethics and achievement within the marketing milieu.
Eligibility for membership:
Mu Kappa Tau believes scholastic excellence should be a high priority for every marketing student and thus, works toward this end. Membership is open to the following students majoring in marketing who must have an overall cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25 on a 4.00 scale and are:
