NYIT students are responsible for ensuring that all degree requirements listed in the catalog in effect on the date of their admission/readmission are fulfilled. NYIT faculty will review students' academic records and recommend them for graduation by signing and submitting a degree audit evaluation to the Office of the Registrar. All candidates for graduation must apply online through NYITConnect at the beginning of their final semester. Refer to the Academic Calendar for deadline dates to apply. If you are not enrolled in an active academic program, contact the Office of the Registrar.

After your graduation request is processed, you will receive an e-mail from the Office of the Registrar sent to your NYIT e-mail account detailing the status of your graduation application. Your status may be as follows:

Students attending New York campuses: Your diploma will be mailed to your address on record and is usually available 8-10 weeks after graduation. Diplomas of students in arrears, or who have other holds, will be held until their obligations to NYIT have been fulfilled. Once your obligations have been cleared you must obtain approval from the Office of the Bursar to have your diploma released. Your diplomas can be then picked up at the Office of the Registrar by you or a designee. Complete a Diploma Pick Up Form (PDF) and bring it to the Office of the Registrar along with photo identification. If you are unable to pick up your diploma, it can be mailed to you by submitting a Diploma Mailing Request Form (PDF).
Students attending global campuses: Contact the Office of the Registrar at your campus. All financial or other obligations must be fulfilled to receive your diploma.
