Émigré Physician Program (EPP)

The Émigré Physician Program (EPP) Application for entering year 2014 is CLOSED

The immigration policy of the United States provides for the annual entrance of many highly skilled professionals. Numerous emigrated physicians have settled in the New York area and throughout the United States. In many instances, these physicians are highly trained and very experienced, but unable to continue their medical profession in the U.S. without proper licensing. The NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine has established a program to re-educate Émigré physicians to become Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine.

The Émigré Physicians Program is a four-year program which encompasses a Biomedical Science component in years 1 and 2, and a Clinical Clerkship component in years 3 and 4. Acceptance into the Émigré Physicians Program is selective and competitive. Candidates are chosen based upon academic excellence and an in-person interview process.
