	William Blazey, DO, earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2001 from Binghamton (NY) University. In 2005, Dr. Blazey earned a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine of New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) in Old Westbury, NY.

	Nancy A. Bono, D.O., FACOFP graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York in 1988. After her Bachelor’s, she proceeded on to earn her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine at New York Institute of Technology in 1992.

	Norman Gevitz, PhD. earned his BA and MA in Political Science from New York University and his Doctorate in Sociology from the University of Chicago. He is the author of more than fifty publications including The DOs: Osteopathic Medicine in America. 2nd. ed. (2004) published by the Johns Hopkins University Press.


	Robert B. Goldblatt, PhD. has been teaching at New York Institute of Technology and New York College of Osteopathic Medicine for over 28 years. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Rhode Island College in Psychology and Developmental Psychology, respectively.

	Carlos Magalhaes D.O. is a small group instructor for the first and second year students in Doctor-Patient Relations and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine courses. These unique small group settings allow Dr. Magalhaes to share his medical expertise with his assigned students.

	Sonia Rivera-Martinez, DO graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1983 from the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras, P.R. She worked for many years as a Corporate Controller and Internal Auditor before re-entering the college arena to complete her required pre-medical courses.

	Karen Sheflin, D.O. earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York in 1994; Dr. Sheflin then proceeded on to obtain a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury.
