Quinn Named to Who's Who Among America's Teachers

Old Westbury, N.Y., Dec. 9, 2005: Mary M. Quinn, director of communications and marketing at New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) has been named to the 2006 edition of Who’s Who Among America's Teachers. Inclusion in this publication is reserved for teachers and professors nominated by a current or former student for educational excellence.

“Each of us has a special teacher, coach or other adult leader who took the time to lead, inspire and demand excellence,” reports the publisher. “We decided to give students the opportunity to honor those teachers who have contributed to their lives and their futures.”

Quinn of East Williston, N.Y., has served as an adjunct professor of marketing and business communications at Concordia College in Bronxville, N.Y. for more than 13 years. For the past six years, she has taught exclusively in Concordia’s accelerated degree program, which gives adult students a fast track towards earning their degrees.

She is among the two percent of America’s 6.2 million educators selected for this honor.
