With more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Spence began his career at San Michele in Bluefields Bay, Jamaica, where he served as the resort manager for seven years before moving to the United States in 1994. A native of Westmoreland, Jamaica, Caribbean Islands, Spence joins NYIT’s de Seversky Center from The Carltun at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, N.Y., where he was private affairs events manager. Prior to that, he was manager of Oheka Castle in Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y., which at the time was also run by The Carltun.
