May 2008 Lunch Specials and Events at NYIT’s de Seversky Center


Old Westbury, N.Y., April 1, 2008: New York Institute of Technology’s (NYIT) de Seversky Center will offer a variety of lunch specials and culinary events in May.

Lunch Specials
On Wednesdays and Thursdays, enjoy a complete three-course lunch including appetizer, choice of entrée, dessert, and coffee service for just $16. On Fridays, de Seversky’s delicious buffet includes a chef’s special action station, salads and appetizers, hot chafing selections, a carving station, dessert, and coffee service for just $16.

Prices do not include beverages, tax, and gratuities. Lunch reservations are required and are taken for seatings from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. For full menus, reservations, or a list of upcoming events, please call 516.686.7675.

Sunday, May 11
Mother’s Day Brunch
Our traditional Mother’s Day brunch includes fresh baked croissants, muffins, bagels and breads, delicious hot and cold selections, an omelet station, a carving station, a seafood display, a dessert station, and coffee service.
$39 per person plus tax, service, and beverages. Children 10 and younger: half price.
Reservations taken for seatings between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Thursday, May 15
Seafood Buffet Dinner
Our delicious seafood buffet features a raw bar and a seafood display, hot buffet and cold salad displays, and a dessert station.
$45 per person plus tax, service, and beverages. Reservations taken for seating between 6 and 7:30 p.m.

Friday, May 16: 7 p.m.
Epicurean Wine Dinner Featuring the Wines of California

A sumptuous four-course dinner is complemented by a selection of wines from California.
$75 per person plus tax and service. Reservations required.

Wednesday, May 21
Lunch on the Patio

Welcome spring with a gourmet lunch on our outdoor patio. Our executive chef offers a special four-course menu for your dining enjoyment. (Lunch will take place in the garden room in the case of inclement weather.) $25 per person plus tax, service, and beverages. Reservations taken for seatings at noon or 12:30 p.m.

Wednesday, May 28: Noon
Chef’s Demonstration Luncheon

See how culinary magic is made. Our executive chef creates a delightful meal that will be prepared and cooked right in front of you. Enjoy a wonderful lunch, and learn the chef’s secrets! We’ll also teach you how to mix the perfect cocktails to go with your meal.
$25 per person plus tax, service, and beverages. Reservations required.
