School of Management Launches New MIS Security Concentration

Old Westbury, N.Y., October 21, 2008: NYIT's School of Management has launched a new MIS Security concentration to its M.B.A. program. Students may select five of seven graduate-level courses to complete the concentration within the M.B.A. program. Four of these courses are MIS courses: Information Resource Management; Audit and Control of Computer-Based Systems; Data Communication and Networks; and Computer Information Systems. The remaining three courses are management courses: Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery; Security Risk Analysis; and Cyber Law, Policy, and Ethics. The new program also benefits from NYIT's longstanding relationship with the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), the premier MIS security organization in the world.

Courses may also be taken on an independent, non-matriculated basis. Classes are taught by NYIT faculty as well as highly qualified IT security professionals. NOTE: Certain courses may require a prerequisite within the concentration.
