Responsibilities

NYIT deSeversky Center, one of the North Shore’s premier catering and conference centers, located on the pristine campus of New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury, seeks part-time Cooks to work with our professional staff to ensure that all of our events are an occasion to remember. Under the direction of the Executive Chef and the Sous Chef, will prepare and cook food for service at lunch, dinner and catered events. Responsibilities also include cleaning and preparing food stations and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A minimum of 2 years experience as a Cook in a fine dining/catering setting with a broad menu, excellent customer service skills and availability to work evenings and weekends is required. A ServSafe Certificate is preferred (must receive ServSafe certificate within one year).
