Faculty, students and staff at NYIT-Abu Dhabi are celebrating the recent announcement that the School of Management, including Abu Dhabi’s B.S.B.A. and M.B.A. programs, has earned accreditation by AACSB International -- the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. This prestigious designation adds NYIT to a very short list of Abu Dhabi institutions whose business degrees are recognized for attaining a high level of educational quality.
On hearing the news, NYIT-Abu Dhabi School of Management professor Gantasala V. Prabhakar, Ph.D., stated, “A university that is accredited by AACSB International is one that seeks excellence for both students and faculty.” NYIT-Abu Dhabi B.S.B.A. student Mohamed Yakoub added, “I’m proud to earn a degree from an AACSB-accredited program, because it’s among the world’s elite business degrees.” More.
NYIT hosted its first annual alumni dinner in Abu Dhabi this week, welcoming 48 alumni, including two who graduated from NYIT-Amman, for a stimulating presentation, a raffle with dozens of prizes, a fine meal, and best of all, an opportunity to re-connect with former classmates and associates. Students and alumni who participate in at least three of the brief meetings will be well prepared for the next steps in their careers. In addition, they will receive a certificate of completion and a prize (to be announced).
The first workshop, on how and why to network, occurred on Monday, 26 January. Upcoming workshops will proceed as follows:
