NYIT Center for Humanities and Culture at NUPT

The NYIT Center for Humanities and Culture at NUPT is a New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), Nanjing organization funded by a grant from the United States Embassy, Beijing and the United States Department of State located on the campus of its partner institution, Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications (NUPT).

Its purpose is to provide a venue in which to foster intercultural communication through the exchange of ideas and art and thereby enhance international understanding.

Nanjing International School Names NYIT Dean to Board

Monique Taylor

Monique Taylor, Ph.D., dean and executive director at NYIT-Nanjing, has been invited to join the board of the Nanjing International School effective Aug. 1. The board is responsible for policy and strategic decisions based on a long-term vision of school development and planning. The Nanjing International School is a not-for-profit entity that values transparency and uses all school fees for the sole purpose of benefiting students. Read more about Monique Taylor.

NYIT Students Win Awards at 2013 Regional ACM-ICPC Invitational

Eight NYIT students were awarded at the May 12 regional ACM-ICPC invitational, hosted by and held at the Nanjing University of Science and Technology. More than 400 students (133 teams and 40 universities) participated, representing the very best of all computer science students in Jiangsu province.

“Making Creativity Work”

On May 7 and 8, the NYIT Center for Humanities and Culture at NUPT presented “Making Creativity Work,” a year-long, innovative project of communication arts study and creation, funded by a $25,000 U.S. Department of State Federal Assistance Award. “Making Creativity Work” featured a panel discussion about Intellectual Property Rights and the Film Industry and a review and critique of NYIT Student Public Service Announcements (PSAs).
