The NYIT Center for Humanities and Culture at NUPT is a New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), Nanjing organization funded by a grant from the United States Embassy, Beijing and the United States Department of State located on the campus of its partner institution, Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications (NUPT).
Its purpose is to provide a venue in which to foster intercultural communication through the exchange of ideas and art and thereby enhance international understanding.

Marshall D. Willman, assistant professor of English, and Xuetai Qi, adjunct professor of social sciences, organized and chaired the first NYIT-NUPT Symposium on Mind, Value, and Moral Psychology on May 11. The event convened scholars of philosophy from Chinese universities in Nanjing, Shanghai, and Shandong to discuss contemporary issues in moral philosophy and psychology from an East-West comparative perspective.
Monique Taylor, Ph.D., dean and executive director at NYIT-Nanjing, has been invited to join the board of the Nanjing International School effective Aug. 1. The board is responsible for policy and strategic decisions based on a long-term vision of school development and planning. The Nanjing International School is a not-for-profit entity that values transparency and uses all school fees for the sole purpose of benefiting students. Read more about Monique Taylor.
