Holly Proffitt, Ph.D. serves as senior career advisor at NYITCOM-Arkansas. Proffitt completed her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration at the University of Mississippi in August 2020 and has research interests in career and professional development curriculum. She also holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts, with majors in Business Administration Marketing and English Literature, from Westminster College in Fulton, Mo., as well as a Master of Arts in Journalism, with a focus in Public Relations and Communication, from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.

Proffitt began her higher education career in undergraduate education at Arkansas State University, where she was involved in admissions recruiting and career services. She then transitioned to osteopathic undergraduate medical education with the opening of NYITCOM-Arkansas in 2016. A native of Fayetteville, Ark., Proffitt is passionate about advancing the education and health of her home state, as well as her students and their future mission to serve underserved populations in Arkansas and the Mississippi Delta region.
