Rachel Morrison has served as director of the Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) at the New York City campus since June of 2022. She originally joined HEOP as administrative assistant before becoming a counselor in 2015.

By progressing through various roles in HEOP at New York Tech, Rachel has built a well-rounded knowledge of opportunity programs and methods of supporting students on their academic journeys from application to graduation. She prides herself on being a resource for staff, faculty, and students and plays an active role in program recruitment, planning, and activities.

She currently participates in the Academic Senate as a non-voting invited guest representing HEOP and has served on Senate committees including Admissions and Academic Standards and Communications. Rachel is also an ACE coach and member of numerous inter-departmental campus committees. As an AAUP member, she served on the Joint Council as the New York City chapter secretary from 2019 until 2022.

Rachel earned a B.A. in Psychology with minors in Mathematics and Art History and Architecture from New York University and a M.S. in Human Resources Management and Labor Relations from New York Tech. Most recently, she completed an M.S.Ed. in Higher Education Administration at Baruch College. Her capstone research focused on non-academic barriers to student success such as mental health, food insecurity, and affordability..
